Law No. 20 of 2003 on National Education System in Article 3, which states that the national education serves to develop skills and form the character and civilization of the nation's dignity in the framework of the nation's intellectual life. National education aims at developing the potential of learners in order to become a man of faith and piety to God Almighty, noble, healthy, knowledgeable, capable, creative, independent, and become citizens of a democratic and accountable.

Government Regulation Number 17 Year 2010 regarding Management Education Organization in Article 17 Paragraph (3) states that basic education, including secondary school (SMP) aims to build a foundation for the growth potential of learners in order to become a human being (a) the faithful and pious to God Almighty God, (b) noble, and noble, (b) knowledgeable, competent, critical, creative, and innovative; (c) healthy, independent, and confident, (d) tolerant, socially sensitive, democratic, and responsible . 24 VALUE OF MAIN CHARACTERS
Based on the study of religious values, social norms, rules / laws, academic ethics, human rights principles, SKL SMP, and SK / KD all subjects junior, has identified more than 80 grains of the characters are grouped into five, namely values ​​of human behavior in relation to (1) God Almighty, (2) self, (3) fellow humans, and (4) environment, and (5) nationality. Never give up attitude and behavior or never discouraged when faced with various difficulties in carrying out activities or duties so as to overcome such difficulties in achieving its objectives.

5. Demokratis
Way of thinking, acting, and acting the same rights and obligations assess himself and others.

6. Concern
Attitudes and actions that are always working to prevent and correct irregularities and damage (human, natural, and order) all around him.

7. Autonomy
Attitudes and behaviors that are not easy to depend on others in completing tasks.

8. Logical thinking, critical, creative, and innovative

14. Healthy lifestyle
Any attempt to implement good practice in creating a healthy life and avoid bad habits that can harm our health.

15. Discipline
Actions that show orderly behavior and comply with various rules and regulations.

16. Self-confidence
The attitude of self-confident in the ability to fulfill every desire and achievement of expectations.

17. Curiosity
Attitudes and actions that are always trying to find out more depth and breadth of what he learned, seen, and heard.

18. Love science
This way of thinking, behaving and doing a show of loyalty, concern, and appreciation for knowledge.

19. Awareness of rights and obligations of self and others
